Green Tie Gala 2019: An Evening Under the Stars

The UNC Charlotte Alumni Association will host its annual Green Tie Gala on Friday, April 5, at The Westin Charlotte. This event raises funds to support student scholarships while offering an evening of fun for all alumni and friends of UNC Charlotte.

Spring crowdfunding campaigns launched to boost student projects

The UNC Charlotte community can help a group of creative civil engineering students build a concrete canoe, aid mechanical engineering students to rev up their race car and assist English students to attend a national convention next month as part of the spring 2019 crowdfunding campaigns.

New scholarship honors COA+A’s founding dean

A group of architecture alumni have established a new scholarship endowment for the College of Arts + Architecture (CoA+A) in honor of founding dean Ken Lambla.

CoA+A Interim Dean Lee Gray and Jim Williams of Little Diversified Architectural Consulting joined 14 alumni to raise $60,000 for the Ken Lambla Scholarship Endowment.

Beginning in 2021, the endowment will fund an annual scholarship for an architecture major who enrolls in at least one course in the visual or performing arts.
