Temporary road closure scheduled
A temporary, partial road closure along Cameron Boulevard at Poplar Lane is scheduled for 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, April 21, to install permanent roadway markings.
Flaggers will assist with traffic flow. Exercise caution when approaching construction zones.
CRI Deck lighting upgrades underway
Efforts to upgrade the lighting in the CRI Deck are underway through Tuesday, April 24. Construction will not require closure of the deck; however, users should expect delays navigating the deck.

Export control policy revised
University Policy 316, Export Control recently was revised to codify the University’s institutional compliance with federal export control laws and regulations.
The policy, revised on April 11, also provides more specificity on the groups to which it applies (i.e., all University faculty, staff, students and visiting scholars).
Radley needs shared leave
Jennifer Radley with Environmental Health and Safety needs shared leave donations. The Benefits Office will accept donations through May 2, 2018, only.

Singer needs shared leave

Memorial service scheduled for Anita Moss
Anita West Moss, 74, professor of English, died Wednesday, April 11. A memorial service is scheduled for 2 p.m., Sunday, April 15, in Fretwell Building, Room 100.
Moss joined UNC Charlotte’s Department of English in 1972 as a lecturer. She took a leave from the University during the 1976-77 academic year to complete a doctorate in English from Indiana University.

Construction projects can affect the campus by changing pedestrian, bike and vehicle routes and creating additional activity at or around the University. Members of the campus community should exercise caution when approaching construction areas.
Annual campus memorial service planned
The annual UNC Charlotte Memorial Service will be at 7 p.m., Thursday, April 26, at the Harris Alumni Center at Johnson Glen.
This service is held in remembrance of students, faculty and staff who have died within the last year (April 2017 to March 2018).
Christine Reed Davis, dean of students; Tracey Allsbrook, student body president; and Stephen Cheyney, executive director and campus minister of the Cooperative Christian Ministry; will give remarks. A candle lighting will follow.
Speed table installation continues
On Friday, April 13, work continues on installation of speed tables on Cameron Boulevard, starting at 7 a.m. Expect traffic delays and lane closures near Wallis Hall and the UNC Charlotte Main Station.
Exercise caution when approaching construction zones, and watch for flaggers to assist with traffic flow.
